Gender equality and women's participation in decision-making roles in Africa have gained significant attention in the past two decades. However, the road to achieving true equality remains challenging. Women across the continent continue to encounter barriers rooted in cultural beliefs and practices, institutional limitations, and unequal access to resources. While national governments, civil society actors, and international organizations have made efforts to address these issues, there is still much work to be done.
